How We Work

More than a training day.

Our one-day workshop is designed to create continuity before, during and after the day itself. We begin by hearing from the team, spend the day working through Regulate, Relate and Reconnect, then turn those responses into a practical Team Insight Summary for HR and L&D.

See the process

A connected process, from first response to practical follow-through.

The one-day workshop is at the centre of Ready to Reconnect, but it does not sit in isolation. The questionnaire gives us context. The workshop gives the team shared language and practical tools. The Team Insight Summary then connects the team’s responses back to what was explored during the day.

Before

Hear from the team

We ask the team to complete a short questionnaire, giving us a useful snapshot of how pressure, communication and working relationships are being experienced.

During

Work with the team

We spend the day with the team, using discussion, reflection and practical exercises to make sense of what happens under pressure.

After

Turn responses into useful insight

Afterwards, we create a designed Team Insight Summary for HR or L&D, connecting the team’s responses with the workshop and practical areas to keep developing.

Team Insight Summary
Before

Start with a picture of what the team is experiencing.

Before the workshop, team members complete a short questionnaire. It gives us a snapshot of how pressure is being experienced across the team and creates a useful reference point for the work that follows.

  • Looks at experiences of pressure, communication, decision-making, repair and recovery.
  • Helps us notice broad themes and recurring response patterns across the team.
  • Creates the foundation for the Team Insight Summary produced after the workshop.
A useful snapshot, not an assessment. The questionnaire is designed to surface shared experiences and patterns across the team. It is not a clinical assessment, employee evaluation or diagnostic tool.

One-day facilitated workshop

A psychologically informed, non-clinical workshop that gives teams a shared way to understand what happens under pressure and more choice in how they respond.

Regulate

Notice what happens internally when pressure rises and develop more choice in how you respond.

Stress response · regulation · choice

Relate

Understand how pressure can influence communication, roles, authority, feedback and disagreement.

Communication · roles · feedback

Reconnect

Bring the learning together and respond more intentionally to yourself, others and difficult situations.

Reflection · awareness · action

We spend the day with the team. The workshop is interactive and facilitated throughout, using reflection, discussion and practical exercises to explore what pressure looks like in real working relationships.

Two perspectives, brought together. David brings the psychologically informed perspective and Phil brings organisational, leadership and workplace experience, translating the ideas into language and tools that make sense at work.

After

Turn responses into useful insight.

After the workshop, we return to the questionnaire responses and create a designed A4 Team Insight Summary for HR or L&D. It brings together the patterns showing up across the team, connects them with the ideas explored during the day and highlights practical skills and areas worth continuing to work on.

1What the team told us
2What we notice in the response patterns
3How those themes connect to the workshop
4Practical skills and areas to keep developing

Included in the programmeThe Team Insight Summary is included as part of the one-day workshop, not an optional add-on.

A clearer picture of what is happening across the team.

The summary is designed to make the responses easy to understand and useful to work with. It does not try to reduce a team to a score. Instead, it draws attention to the experiences, strengths and recurring patterns that may be worth keeping in view.

Climate & pressure

How stretched the team feels and which factors are most often associated with that pressure.

Responses under pressure

Whether people tend to become more reactive, withdrawn, avoidant or rushed when demands increase.

Communication & relationships

How comfortable people feel raising concerns, handling disagreement and navigating difficult conversations.

Thinking & decisions

Where assumptions, lack of clarity or stalled decisions may make communication harder.

Repair & recovery

How the team responds after setbacks, and what people say would help them reset and move forward.

Strengths to protect

What is already working well across the team and is worth preserving as pressure rises.

For HR & L&D

Something useful remains after the day itself.

The aim is not to create another report that sits unread. The Team Insight Summary gives you a concise record of what the team reported, a way to connect those patterns back to the workshop, and a practical reference for future conversations and development.

A clearer picture

A visual summary of the experiences and response patterns showing up across the team.

Shared language

A direct connection back to Regulate, Relate and Reconnect, so the workshop language can continue to be used afterwards.

Practical direction

Specific skills and areas worth continuing to practise or discuss after the workshop.

A tangible deliverable
